READO

It's a twist on Bingo.

In order to win this one, you have to read, read, read.

READO Rules

·         Pick up a READO sheet from the media center at the beginning of each nine weeks.  (Cards will be different each time.)

·         Work through your card, doing the type of reading listed in each square.  When you have finished, write the title of the book or article in the square.  Go to the librarian or your English teacher to initial that square.  She or he will ask you a question about what you read before signing.    

·         Your goal is to complete at least one line (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) by the end of the nine-week period. 

·         Turn in your completed card to the media center by the announced deadline, which will be near the end of each nine weeks, and which will also be posted on the school’s web site in the “library services” section.

Here’s what will happen:

·         If you turn in a card with one line completed, you will receive a small prize, and you will have your name entered into a grand-prize drawing to be held at the end of the nine weeks.

·         If you turn in a card with all spaces on the card completed, you will receive a small prize, and you will have your name entered 4 times into the end-of-nine-weeks grand-prize drawing.
